We had an action packed weekend. My little brother’s wife, Mary (Who is also our dentist) and their 11 year old son, Ford from Utah, came to stay with us before embarking on an East Coast Tour for his school class.
We packed in as much as we could pack in while they were here, showing them some sites that they were not scheduled for.
On the agenda yesterday was a trip to Salem, MA to see and learn about the witches.
We did the tourist thing and took the trolley around town. We visited the most recognizable sites to learn about the mystic world of the 1700′s.
Yes, these two guys are the same age- three months apart. Don’t let size fool you.
We had them both at nearly the same time, they lived in Nebraska at Dental School and we were in Iowa. They are about as opposite as the come, but it was fun to watch them interact with one another. We rarely see cousins, so this was a treat.
We headed to the Witches Museum where we saw a presentation Salem Witch Trials, pretty spooky stuff if you ask me.
I rarely go to Salem because it is difficult to get in and out of but once I am there I love it.
If you want a taste of some of the best architecture in America, you have to come here.
Most of This Old House on television is filmed here, because the houses are some of the oldest in the nation.
The streets of cobblestone, the federalist homes and the street cafe thrill my senses.
The best thing about living here, is the diversity around me. I never get tired of visiting or seeing the places around me. I learn something new every time and it is always better to do it with people you love!
