I am so excited for the holidays and that is just the opposite of the grinch that I usually am. I am just happy to have everyone home and together.
We are happy to have Hillary here as we shifted her flight to get her home faster with a big storm coming our way.
My boys this weekend were at Notre Dame vs. BYU and a ton of our college friends were there. I stayed back with the newest actress in the family, Elizabeth to get her to play practice for the Christmas Carol at the Palace Theater.
It was freezing cold at the game, so I am not sure that I am so sad about it hind site.
In the meantime, Elizabeth and I ran our 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive #FEED.
This year, we delivered 49 baskets to Blessed Sacrament Church in Manchester and 4 baskets to families in need in Bedford.
You can see the power of community in the photo….it really does take a village.
When I arrived at the parish, I was informed that the church’s food pantry was robbed two nights ago, the turkeys and all of the food on the shelves were stolen.
When we arrived with the 49 baskets, they informed us that YOUR donated baskets made the difference as 300 families were arriving tomorrow and they were short at least that many baskets as a result of the robbery.
She said….”It is amazing how things like this just work out……”
When I heard about the issues at the church, I was humbled by the amazing people that surround us.
I am excited to get the food ready for our own dinner starting today. We have so much to be thankful for.
