Yep, I missed a week of blogging and to be honest, I haven’t been able to breath being a full time mom every minute. Some weeks, Brian is gone every single second and other weeks he is home a bit. This week he was home and as much as I love it, I don’t have time to lay around and be on my computer.
I usually blog in the morning, but when he is here we get up and get going. Today, I have a lazy minute as he pulled out earlier. I couldn’t wait to get caught up.
1. This weekend in varsity high school football we beat Keene. Chase is #6 carrying out the flag. He had a fair game, the guy he was up against was 19 times his size, this was a good team and had giants on the offense. We won by two points.
I love his coaches and the team he is on. It is such a great group of guys and parents.
We sat down with him this weekend and helped him plan out his future the best we could. He may forgo basketball in high school to help him get more focused. It is really difficult academically to play 3 varsity sports and have any type of life.
2. BYU lost to the U of Utah our instate rival this weekend.
In lieu of the game, I posted this throwback from 1992 of Brian and myself. I was up grabbing halloween stuff out of the attic when I stumbled upon it.
We were dating this was the spring football game at BYU. We don’t have many photos during our dating period.
We lost this weekend in a bitter loss and I swear our Cougers love to break your heart week after week.
Even wearing the classic colors this weekend didn’t help.
3. One night while sitting and doing homework with Elizabeth I threw together this book on Mixbook.
I gathered all of our apple picking photos from 2001 on and compiled them into a traditions book. I have done this with all of our Red Sox games over the year and have a couple more family traditions that I would like to see compiled together
Here are a couple of highlights from the book.
It was so fun going through the years and so relaxing to just work on a project. I couldn’t believe how much the kids have grown over the years.
We are apple picking in the next couple of weeks so I will finish with this volume and print. It will be fun to put out in the fall and own.
That is enough to day because I have to run kids to school. Let’s end on a thought today.
