Thursday night, Hillary and I headed down to Manhattan to invade Brian’s hotel as he worked in the city Friday.
Hillary heads to college this week and we wanted one last summer blast before she left.
We kicked it off with heading to the early news shows trying to see One Direction at the Today Show on the Plaza but it was loaded with 12 million tweens who packed full square blocks.
We ended up at FOX news to see Thompson Square, who in my opinion was much more relaxing to navigate. We were upclose and having a blast enjoying some live music at 8:00am in the morning.
We ended up with free CD’s feeling like we had won the lottery.
We didn’t see Brian much as he was in full work mode but managed to have breakfast and dinner with him.
He is a great father and loves to spoil these kids
Next on the agenda, my favorite thing ever….walking through Central Park. I love to go to New York City not to shop but to walk.
We love to walk and walk and walk. I take the same photos everytime I go and take less everytime we go now.
It was a perfect end to the summer! Great temps, yummy Japanese food even some school shopping.
We spent a couple of hours at the Manhatten LDS Temple
Spending time there is always an amazing spiritual experience.
We thought about taking bikes around as this is a new edition to the city. But we didn’t…now I wish we would have. The traffic is so crazy there you may just die riding a bike.
We spent the evening at our favorite Japanese restaurant with Brian and drove on out of the city.
I will miss this chick as she lives to start the next phase of her life as a full time college student.
She is my best friend and I love spending every single second with her.
I was so happy we could spend a last little blast together.
I don’t anticipate that I will be in the city very much until December. I love it so much that I hate to bid it farewell. Snapped this photo driving full speed down the motorway, not the best but the view was beautiful with the sun setting!
