Man it has been a famine here at the blog!
I have felt so overwhelmed the last couple of weeks and for one week I was down and out with the flu.
I am back and ready to pour out my heart and soul.
Let’s get caught up on 4 important things on my mind today….there are lots more things to talk about but lets get started.
1. We miss Hillary…there is no doubt about it...that although she is having a blast in China, there is a definite hole in the family. We couldn’t keep her hostage here forever and we are so excited she is out enjoying her young adult years.
Check her out here, riding an elephant this week and exploring the world.
She was even more excited when she found this Subway shop and could partake of a tuna sub. 4 straight weeks of rice and steamed veggies has been great…but she wasn’t turning down tuna in any form.
She has been busy selling girl scouts cookies with her leader and celebrating St. Pat’s day which is always huge in these Irish states.
3. Chase’s high school varsity team took the state championship in division 1 this weekend. We spent several days going out to UNH for the playoffs.
I am so darn proud of these boys!
Many of them played football with Chase and so we feel more of a connection. Plus Chase played JV basketball this year.
The student section is too die for fun. Only Duke U. does it better. Trinity is known for their unbelievable basketball making it to the playoffs every year.
4. As for the rest of us.
I have been studying microcredit and microfinance all weekend, a secret little passion I have trying to figure out how we can implement it into our foundation. Of course, I have some ideas but I have to get up on my economics…I think this could be a real game changer for our new friends in Nicarauga.
We have been selling a ton at the travel agency and I did a big group last week. Swamped because of it!
On another note….
I am thrilled with the new pope and recently loved the statement that he made about being a child of god.
He basically reminded his entire congregation that the pope is not what the church is about that Jesus Christ is and he wanted every single person to remember that they are a child of god. I loved it! Felt the spirit on the spot.
