It’s a New Year and with that comes the fresh start, the new emotion and for me a fresh slate.
Here is a little update-
1. We spent Christmas in Cancun, Mexico with our kids! I will get around to blogging about that when I have done all of the laundry and taken down the Christmas tree that never saw any gifts under it. It was a fantastic family trip with loads of time for each other. It was the first time we have been gone during the holidays since our early college days.
2. On New Year’s Eve, we took the whole family to see Les Miserable, the Movie, which was dynamite. Having seen Les Mis’ a bundle of times on Broadway and in London, I knew I would have a little issue with the music because I have heard the soundtrack for 25 years, but I found the show to be delightful and an outstanding example of mercy and redemption. Les Mis is always a spiritual experience for me.
Hillary and I rang in the New Year lying in my bed watching scenes from the 25th anniversary of Les Mis at O2 in London that was on PBS. It is so powerful that it just lifts you up.
This clip right here- I have watched a hundred times! I just love it- I just watched it two more times posting this post.
Here is the entire concert- I may just watch it again tonight.
3. I am thinking about making some resolutions, but they are always the same. A couple of key words come to me. Content, Make a Difference, Focus, Stand Tall….the list of buzz words are buzzing around in my mind. Still taking stock of my life!
