I Just recently taught a mini-class on how to use the iPad more effectively.
The biggest question that always comes up when talking about iPads is-
“What Apps do you use to simplify your life?”
I thought it was high time that I compiled them for enquiring minds.
Actually, I have been iPad and iPhone decked from the get-go, but I find that I only use a handful of Apps.
Today, I will discuss my everyday apps, later I will do a post on photo apps, travel apps and LDS related apps, to keep them separate. All total, I probably only manage 10-12 apps that keep my life running super-duper efficient- (Or so it appears.)
This is a handy, dandy task management tool that makes as many to-do lists as you need and I have one for everything in my life. Think yard, house, kitchen all of the to-do’s that you walk around your house and think I need to get that done. It shares with all of your devices so you always have it on hand.
I have changed my husbands life and his enormous expense account for work by converting him to a mobile app that does it all for him by simply recording his expenses on the fly and photographing the receipts. They are all exported into a highly manageable report that can quickly be customized for any accountant. Now he is no longer wading in receipts and we are no longer losing money he forgets to report.
Trust me when I say, we have lost hundreds of dollars on expense reports. Now he has it down to a tee- and keeps up with it daily. No more cutting and pasting receipts wondering where his latest lunch receipt went.
This would be a perfect tool for moms who turn in receipt for various events or small business write-offs.
This little, handy dandy app makes me smile. I used it a ton at Christmas.
It supports thousands of coupons for every store imaginable. I am always in the wrong place at the wrong time without the coupon, because I am lousy at cutting and remembering to carry them.
You can hand the store your phone and they will scan it right from the App.
I saved $50.00 at Macy’s on leather riding boots because I opened the app and handed the sales lady my phone. It was a one day sale, last pair in the size needed and the week before Christmas. Now, I check it, every time I run into a store and grab the savings.
5. Finally, My Fitness Pal.
I am almost a liar to say I use this regularly but need to. I “often” log my calories and daily intake in but then realize I have overeaten- guilty! So I wait until “next Monday” to start again. It definitely is my favorite calorie counter and food tracker. It is proven that those who track do lose. Hey! It is never too late.
When I am doing really well with my diet and exercise this is my go to app! This week I am on! Hooray!
