Last weekend, we talked about my younger brother’s wife and her 11 year old son, Ford staying with us.
It was a jammed packed weekend full of fun activities. I last posted about our trip to Salem, but there was more fun to be had.
On Memorial Day, we loaded up the car with our entire family and headed to Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine to partake of the beauty of it. This light house is famous and the parking lot is always jammed packed with people trying to snap a photograph of this icon that dots our beautiful coast.
After partaking of Maine’s famous blueberry ice cream we headed down to a crab shack near the beach we always go to.
Finally, it was off to the beach for the afternoon and despite the temps of 74 degrees the kids still loved being near the calming the water.
The day prior we spent at Canobie Lake Amusement Park, where the kids rode until closing.
It was near 90 degrees, but the cloud cover kept us from dying.
When they left, I had a day to recover and it was off to Florida.
Now I am home, trying to get caught up with the house and the yard, and all that I should be doing to make my life function. But for now, I will relish in the memories of the kick off of the perfect summer.
