Last Thursday, I made a quick little trip down to Manhattan with Brian.
Here is a look of the evening from my iPhone-
The Japanese doctors were in town and he was hosting.
We were running so late, we took a late flight Thursday and made it for dinner at Iroha to enjoy dinner with the president of Brian’s company. We were so happy we could wear sweats and not have to dress up because our number one goal was to walk as much as we could around the city and get some fresh air. Can’t do that in boots and dress clothes!
Talk about a great guy! The president is just full of integrity, ethics and family values. We couldn’t have asked for more in a company, plus he is just great conversation.
I say this every time I go, but I just love the Japanese food at Sapporo and next door at Iroha. Both restaurants are owned by the same family and man-alive they know how to cook. I ended up eating at Sapporo the next day for lunch. I never stray!
We have been eating there since we found it 20 years ago on our honeymoon.
This time, I actually substituted a Japanese restaurant for dinner on my second night, since I felt guilty eating there 3 meals in a row, but it was far from what I hoped and it only left me wishing I would have chosen my favorite.
Central Park is my most favorite piece of Manhattan. There is always so much going on there….I just find it to be entertaining.
We walked around Central Park after we stuffed ourselves on all of our Japanese favorites and then once we walked off the first meal,
We took in swanky Serendipity 3 on 60th for Ice Cream. The cover charge is more than the actual food, but oh so good.
What a absolutely fun, great night in the city!
